AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate is focused on the design of cost and performance optimized solutions. This is an ideal starting point for candidates with AWS Cloud or strong on-premises IT experience. This exam does not require deep hands-on coding experience, although familiarity with basic programming concepts would be an advantage. We offer this as a 2 day virtual classroom delivered by our expert AWS certified trainers, which includes access to lab environments, mock and certification exam licences and will prepare you to pass the exam.
Who should take the exam
The recommended experience prior to taking this exam is at least 1 year of hands-on experience designing cloud solutions that use AWS services. However, candidates with 1-3 years of IT experience have been able to prepare for and earn this certification as a starting point on their AWS Cloud learning and certification journey.

Exam & Certification validity
The exam is 130 minutes and you will answer 65 multiple choice/ multiple response questions. This certification is valid for 3 years.

The labs for your AWS course will be delivered through AWS Builder labs. Please be aware that in order to access your materials and Labs it is important that your device and network should not restrict access to AWS or Vitalsource content. For that reason, AWS recommend NOT using a Corporate laptop with any security restrictions in place or the use of a VPN.
Pre requisites
Candidates who do not have any IT work experience would benefit from first earning the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner to get foundational knowledge of AWS Cloud before attempting the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
