This exam is designed for candidates new to Cloud who may not have an IT background. This exam is for roles like sales, marketing, product or project management, to get a foundational understanding of AWS Cloud. Candidates for this exam could have up to 6 months of exposure to AWS Cloud, but this is not required.

Earning this certification validates high-level understanding of AWS Cloud, services, and terminology. Job listings requiring AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner have increased 84% (Oct 2021 - Sept 2022) per Lightcast™ October 2022.

As organizations rapidly transition their business operations to the cloud, professionals with the necessary training and skills are in high demand. Certifications continue to be the primary tool used to validate cloud skills and one of the many used to help close skills gaps. The 2020 Global Knowledge IT Skills and Salary Report revealed again this year that IT professionals and organizations alike recognize the value of AWS Certifications. 

The exam is 90 minutes and you will answer 65 multiple choice/ multiple response questions. This certification is valid for 3 years.

The labs for your AWS course will be delivered through AWS Builder labs. Please be aware that in order to access your materials and Labs it is important that your device and network should not restrict access to AWS or Vitalsource content. For that reason, AWS recommend NOT using a Corporate laptop with any security restrictions in place or the use of a VPN.
